Second Week of Kindergarten Behind Us

Our week was minus Friday due to visitation with her dad. Here is what we accomplished in our second week.

Ellie was able to sound out these words and read her first page that way!

She designed a skirt and sketched out the directions as an art project to teach me. She recycled a broken paper fan as the 'fabric'. Lovely skirt! After it was taped on she used scissors to cut some  stylish fringe.

Looking under the glass table during the science experiment. We were investigating what types of shields could protect you from UV light. This experiment built on the one about energy beads that change color in the sun, protecting them with sunglasses, and now this one. Next week we will check sunscreens versus lotions. And whether the beads change on a cloudy day.
